CMS Made Simple releases version 1.5.3
After a long wait, version 1.5.3 has been released. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a lot of new features, but it does fix a lot of minor issues that people have been having. The package should be reaching a rock solid state that shouldn’t require many more minor updates in the 1.5.x series.

The White House Embraces Drupal
Interestingly, a new government-run website, Recovery.org was built on the open-source content management system Drupal. An article at TechPresident.com talks about why this is an important move that may show new openness to open source technologies used by the U.S. government.

Radiant 0.7.0 “Intaglio”
The Radiant team has just announced the availability of Radiant 0.7.0 dubbed “Intaglio”. This release has been a long time in coming, and changes a lot of stuff under the hood, but doesn’t bring many new features. A new database template is included, Rails 2.1.2 is included, and Radiant is now compatible with Ruby 1.8.7.

Welcome to our new website, the CMS Design Resource! Sorry if you’re visiting here and things are still kind of a mess, we’re in the process of adding content and cleaning up things around the site. We haven’t officially launched yet, but we’re noticing that Google has already picked up on our little secret.
